Mr Amir Naviwala is a specialist immigration solicitor with immense experience of practising UK immigration nationality laws from 2002. He is the owner and Managing Director of Sunrise Solicitors Limited trading under the name of Sunrise Solicitors.
Introduction
Mr Amir Naviwala is a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of England and Wales. He has been involved in the provision of legal services since 1996 when he started practising law in foreign jurisdiction before he arrived in the UK in 1998. He began practising mainly immigration law in the UK and has been continuously involved in the provision of immigration legal services under other areas of practice ever since. His experience has led him to acquire a vast knowledge in the field and resulted in specialisation in UK immigration over this substantial period. He has represented thousands of immigration clients at all stages of immigration cases including representations at the Home Office and immigration courts in the UK. His experience of providing advocacy services in immigration courts has further developed his skills and experience in assessing the UK immigration cases from the point of view of the expectations of the Immigration Judges. This has provided him the ability to significantly enhance his skills of case analysis, resulting in a higher success rate for clients he represents.
Mr Amir Naviwala has dedicated his career to the provision of the best immigration legal services for his clients and leaves no stone unturned. His law practice is primarily his obligation to his clients, and he holds this priority over his business, focusing on quality over quantity. He is a believer of honesty not deceit when providing his legal opinion on the merits of immigration cases so that any and all potential clients understand the true prospects of success and have full autonomy before instructing us and incurring the costs for our legal services.
Leadership Skills
Amir Naviwala is the sole director of Sunrise Solicitors, London, and his leadership reflects both practical business experience and a clear understanding of people. Before entering the legal profession, he ran his own small business overseas for around seven years before moving to the UK. That experience gave him a strong foundation in leadership, including the ability to understand situations quickly, make timely decisions, respond effectively to different needs, and deal with people according to their role and circumstances.
After arriving in the UK, Amir took on a variety of work commitments, which also gave him valuable experience of working under employers. This broadened his perspective and helped him understand the workplace from both sides. He appreciates the needs of employees, while also being able to consider matters from an employer’s point of view and assess how decisions should be made in that position.
Amir believes that a healthy, open and supportive working environment is essential to achieving the best results from a team. In his view, when people are able to work with peace of mind, they are more productive, more focused, and more capable of delivering a higher standard of work. This approach is reflected in the feedback received by the firm. In Google reviews, clients frequently mention the individual who assisted them, whether that was a member of the admin team, a case manager, a caseworker, or Amir himself. The appreciation shown in those reviews reflects not only the efforts of individuals, but also the wider working culture within the firm.
A significant part of Amir’s leadership approach is his belief that a team should first be given the support, respect and environment they deserve, and only then be expected to fulfil their responsibilities to the highest standard. As a result, clients often regard the entire Sunrise team as a reliable and effective source of help. That impression is closely linked to Amir’s vision, his leadership style, and the standards he has established within the firm.

Civil Litigation, Family, Employment and Other Matters
While studying law in a foreign jurisdiction, Amir began his apprenticeship in criminal law, but after about a year he moved into civil law. Since 2002, he has been involved mainly in immigration matters. However, after establishing Sunrise Solicitors, he also had the opportunity to deal with other areas of law on the civil side, including civil claims, personal injury and conveyancing. He continued this work for several years, but because of his heavy involvement in immigration law, he chose to focus primarily on that area. Since 2022, however, he has become actively involved again in civil matters and now effectively supervises the firm’s civil litigation department as well.
Over the years, Amir has dealt with a wide range of matters, including money recovery claims, property disputes, housing claims, possession matters, compensation claims, family matters such as divorce, financial orders, child maintenance, occupation orders and non-molestation matters, as well as landlord and tenant disputes, including Section 21 and Section 8 matters, employment law issues, personal injury and other civil matters. With three decades of experience, he is able to understand issues quickly and guide clients in the right direction, supported where appropriate by modern legal research tools, including AI-assisted search. His experience also helps him to understand the client’s concerns from the client’s own point of view, as he takes care to examine even the smaller details, which are often key to identifying the real problem. He believes in providing a good and effective service, which is reflected in the work carried out by the firm’s caseworkers and case managers. Under his leadership, the wider team continues to perform to a high standard and works hard to meet clients’ needs. Clients also often find the administrative staff very helpful, as they are the first point of contact and an important bridge in helping clients reach the right people to address their problems.
